Various Colour of Anime's Eyes

Do you know that every colours of anime's eyes have its own meaning?
Ne... I will tell you about it ^^

Red Eyes
One of the following: very strong, fiery, connected to fire, yokai, monster, or otherworldly. More likely to be used on a villain or on an “evil” character.

Blue or Ligh Blue Eyes
One of the following: pure, connected to ice/water element. Can indicate magical character if it is very bright shade of blue.

Purple
One of the following: Mysterious, magical, playful. Somewhat similar to “red”, but more often used on humans. Less chance of being a “villain”.

Brown/gray
Generally used on “normal” or “ordinary” characters. If the character is a usual human without any kind of powers or demon blood, it’ll be a common eye color.

Yellow with Black "White"
monster, robot or alien.

Yellow
cunning, clever or somehow related to cats and foxes.

Green
usually a “good” character that may be a protagonist. Can also indicate magical character.

Basically, the more uncommon eye color is, the more uncommon the character is. Therefore common colors like brown/gray/lightblue usually don’t mean anything, while uncommon colors (purple, green, yellow, orange, red) may indicate something about the character. “Red” is traditionally associated with evil or darkness, while “blue” is usually associated in something more positive. Both red and blue can be used to indicate magical character. Purple eye color can be used to highlight important character, however, said color does not stand out as much as red, and therefore can be used on human chracters.
